After more than 23 years with Salus, Rita Raven – HR Manager, is retiring.

To simply describe Rita as part of the HR team wouldn’t capture the role she played within the business. Rita has been part of the Salus story from the very beginning — supporting, guiding, organising, encouraging and, very often, keeping everyone else grounded along the way.

A Huge Part of the Salus Story

There are people in every organisation who quietly become part of its foundations. Rita has been one of those people.

Over the years, she has supported staff through challenges, celebrated successes, checked in on people when they needed support, and always made time for others. Whether someone needed advice, reassurance, encouragement or simply somebody to listen, Rita was always there.

Many of the moments people remember most fondly at Salus also carry Rita’s fingerprints. From organising milestone celebrations in Dublin and Blackpool, to helping shape the culture of the business during its earliest years, her contribution reaches far beyond her job title.

Supporting Salus From the Very Beginning

In the early days of Salus, Rita helped with everything from payroll and invoicing to answering phones, organising meetings and supporting the directors as the business found its feet. Like many growing businesses, those first years demanded people who were willing to do whatever was needed — and Rita embodied that spirit completely.

But perhaps what stands out most is the care she showed towards people.

Rita helped create the kind of company culture where people felt supported, valued and looked after — something that remains hugely important to Salus today.

Alongside the professionalism and commitment, there have also been countless memories, stories and moments of laughter shared over the years. Many of them have already become part of Salus folklore.
