The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 (RRO) requires occupiers of premises to appoint a responsible person and to regularly assess the fire safety measures in the form of a detailed Fire Risk Assessment.

Drawing upon our vast experience and knowledge of Fire Safety, we can take on this Risk Assessment role on behalf of clients and following a detailed site Risk Assessment, we will produce a qualifying report of issues relevant to meeting the expectation of the RRO.

The Fire Safety Order applies to virtually all premises and covers nearly every type of building, structure and open space. For example:

  • offices and shops
  • premises that provide care
  • community halls
  • common areas of houses in multiple occupation
  • pubs, clubs and restaurants
  • schools
  • common areas of flats
  • hotels and hostels
  • factories and warehouses

But it excludes purely domestic premises occupied by a single family group.
