Salus were appointed by Clegg Food Projects as Building Control Approved Inspectors on the relocation of Bakery giants Greggs from their existing food factory in Manchester to a brand new facility on a nearby brown field site.
The state of the art bakery incorporates a wide range of production and storage environments to deal with the variety of products manufactured and distributed to Greggs retail outlets around the North West.
The project also incorporated an extensive range of offices and amenities to support the workforce involved in Greggs operation.
Salus have now dealt with numerous food facilities for Nottingham based contractor, naming examples such as the expansion of Greggs Balliol facility in Newcastle, Leicestershire’s Melton Foods, Alpro, Samworth Brothers, Saladworks, Walkers and Kettleby Foods, Kerrygold’s cheese factory in Staffordshire, and Avana Bakeries in Newport, to name but a few.
