Salus were proud to attend the recent ground-breaking ceremony to mark the start of work to build a pioneering £1 million rehabilitation centre, designed for those who have suffered catastrophic sporting injuries.

The ‘Get Busy Living Centre’ in Melton Mowbray, set up by the Matt Hampson Foundation, took this significant step with the construction of an adapted access road getting underway and officially marking the start of the project.

Salus are thrilled to be involved as a project partner, providing the Building Regulatory services at no cost, alongside a number of local partners, many of which are offering their time, services, materials and expertise for free including: construction company Willmott Dixon, professional services firm MDA Consulting, architects Corporate Architecture, engineering consultants Couch Perry Wilkes, BSP Consulting, PR and marketing agency Cartwright Communications, earthmoving, ground engineering and restoration contractor, Barton Plant, and supplier, Peter Bennie, both part of The Bennie Group, and supplier GRS Roadstone Limited.

The day included appearances from Matt Hampson and members of the current Leicester Tigers squad and former players as well as senior representatives from a number of the project partners.

Here is the Sky Sports News feature on the Get Busy Living centre. The filming went really well and we look forward to seeing how this fantastic project progresses.
