Salus Approved Inspectors were proud to be appointed to guide Next Retail through the complicated Fire Strategy and expectations of the Building Regulations for one of their flag-ship stores based at The Bull Ring in the heart of the city of Birmingham.
The unit includes retail trading over several levels, staff facilities, storage and logistics. Given that there is a very sensitive need to balance the rightful expectation of access for all, this combines with the needs of retailers to carry out their obligations under Part M and the ongoing legislation of the Disability Discrimination Act.
Salus had detailed design issues to resolve, both as part of our project management and our site inspection role.
